G-Delp and the Gangsta Wrappers

    It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas over here at Dream Realty! Some of us are WAY more prepared for the holidays than others – and there might be a Grinch or two among us, but there is one thing we all agree on – the best gift of all is the opportunity to give back! The Dream Team adopted three families from local programs to help out a little with gifts for this holiday season. We spent some time together shopping and wrapping (but don’t worry, we didn’t really rap!!) for them earlier this month, and even the Grinch…or Kris, as he’s known outside of Whoville, felt a tug of that whole true meaning of Christmas thing.

    Here are a few ideas on how to give back during the holiday season:

    1. Adopt a family/children for gift giving;
    2. Visit nursing homes with gifts, Christmas carols, or smiles;
    3. Volunteer or donate to your food bank;
    4. Rescue a pet or volunteer at your local animal shelter;
    5. Donate toiletries and other necessities to local shelters; and
    6. Drop off gloves, hats and scarves to local schools.

    We wish every one of you the happiest of holidays and an amazing new year!

    Ugly Sweaters, a Murder Mystery, and the Dream Team!

    You know it’s going to be a good party when the pre-game starts at 4:00 pm! We had a blast at our ugly sweater Christmas party, which is no surprise since we always have a great time together!

    Ashley-isms

    If you know our fearless leader, you know that she always has an Ashley-ism. But truthfully, the whole dream team is full of wise (or wise-ass) words.  Here’s a few from a game we played at a recent staff meeting.

    • What historical event would I have loved to be a part of?

    Kody, Business Development: A Metallica concert in the 90’s.  (And yes, there was plenty of commentary on how old that made the rest of us feel!)

    • What have I done that nobody else in the room has?

    Kris, Buyer Specialist: Dunked a basketball.

    • When I buy my dream yacht, what will I name it?

    Cindi, Buyer Specialist: Believe.

    • What one word would my first grade teacher have used to describe me?

    Marisa, Transaction Coordinator: Precocious.

    • What can someone do to gain my respect immediately?

    Emily, Director of Operations: Be transparent.

    • What’s my favorite “fun fact” about myself?

    Carlie, Buyer Specialist in Training: When I was a kid, I wasn’t afraid of anything – I would try anything!

    • What would I write on my cardboard sign to get spare change if I were homeless?

    Ashley, Broker: Hey, let me sell your home!
